More Performance, Same Price

For the last four years, all XRAY kits — including the X4 kit — and all spare parts have kept the same price, a rare promise in today’s market.

Our focus is simple: deliver the best performance and quality without raising costs for our racers.

Note: VAT, tariffs, and exchange rates may have changed over time and are applied to prices according to local tax laws. Note for US customers: The 2025 US tariffs on EU products are unfortunately beyond our control and may affect the pricing of all EU-manufactured products in the US including XRAY.

Made in Europe

Designed, developed, and fully manufactured in-house at the XRAY factory in Slovakia, Europe, using the most high-tech German and Swiss machines and premium European materials, crafted with XRAY's trademark attention to detail by our production specialists. The X4 is truly a masterpiece.

X4 Editions

The X4’26 platform is tested for improvements across all track conditions to provide race-ready performance out of the box. Three versions of the X4’26 allow customers to choose their ideal starting point: the Carbon Edition, and the 1.5 or 2.0 mm Aluminum Editions, each tuned for different track conditions.

  • Carbon Edition — intended for asphalt tracks and lower-traction carpet tracks
  • 1.5 mm Aluminum Edition — suitable for carpet tracks (low to medium bite), US black carpet, and medium-high traction asphalt
  • 2.0 mm Aluminum Edition — suitable for high grip carpet tracks (e.g. ETS carpet, spec classes)

Weight Savings

30 g of total weight savings without compromising durability, especially beneficial in spec class racing when heavier battery packs are needed. As a result of efficient weight savings in all bulkhead- and suspension components, the car is significantly lighter than the previous X4. In addition, new choices for balance weight placement allow perfect left-to-right balance even using heavier battery packs.

Suspension Arms

All-new world’s unique CFF2™ carbon fiber lower arms with molded composite detailing for maximum rigidity and optimal suspension function. The arms are extremely light yet durable. Integrated design retains pivot balls while resisting separation during crashes using directional shapes. Lower arms are individually shaped left/right corners. High-grade carbon material offers maximum rigidity with minimal weight. The improved geometry, shock placement, and pivot ball retention make the design highly efficient.

Shock Holders

Compatible with included XLP2 shocks, the new holders align with updated suspension geometry. The revised mounting moves shocks more outboard for improved cornering, mid-corner steering, and stability. Shocks are placed close to driveshafts for centralized weight. The shock holders are shim-adjustable and use captured mounting studs (no thread lock needed). Easy maintenance and precise tuning.

Anti-roll Bars

Ultra-low CG anti-roll bars are mounted above the suspension arms using minimal hardware. Height is adjusted via top set screws. New geometry improves efficiency and pickup points. The included anti-roll bars suit carbon and aluminum versions. Bar pivots use ball bearings. A full range of thicknesses is available. Bars have laser-engraved stripes for identification.

Suspension Pivot Balls

New smaller and lower-profile suspension pivot balls reduce weight and expand roll center tunability. Balls are lowered 0.5 mm compared to previous kits; hub ball studs also lowered 0.5 mm, allowing lower roll centers without part changes.

Bulkheads

All-new aluminum bulkheads complement new suspension parts. Universal left/right & front/rear interchangeability reduces spare parts. Lower screw holes have countersinks for standard hardware. Bulkheads integrate shock, ARS linkage, and body post holder attachments. They use centering pins for easy positioning and rigidity. Two axle/differential height positions (carpet vs asphalt) available.

Built-in Upstops

Integrated upstops next to lower arms allow fine tuning of suspension travel independent of shocks. Upstops reduce grip on the end of the car; settings can be adjusted incrementally. Minimal hardware keeps weight low and CG centralized. When used front, aggressive settings reduce steering; when rear, they reduce rear grip to help “free up” the car in spec conditions.

Upper Arms & Link Arms

All-new CFF™ upper arms are redesigned for improved flex characteristics. Link-style upper arms are included for tuning flexibility. These offer increased steering response and adjustability (camber & caster) via two turnbuckles per arm. They use ball cups of durable composite materials. The kit recommends use of X4 Caster Gauges (#302390) for precise adjustment.

Upper Clamps

Carbon upper clamps reduce weight and lower CG while maintaining durability. The clamp design supports ultra-long link arms. The clamps include caster inserts for fast setup changes. Screws enter from bottom to secure the inserts and act as pivot ball mounts, reducing component count. Made from premium-grade carbon fiber, with inserts of 7075 T6 aluminum. The design supports 4 flex options via different screw combinations.

Steering & ARS Plates

New carbon fiber steering and ARS plates optimize geometry, flex, and reduce unsprung weight. The plates use strategic lightening to maintain durability. The steering system benefits from the optimized flex and lightweight design.

Gear Differential

All-new ultra-light, narrower rear gear differential fits new bulkheads. Uses 6×10×3 ball bearings and smaller eccentric holders to save weight and lower CG. The diff uses a pin system for outdrives. The case is composite; internal gears are precision-molded composites with steel adapters for smooth operation. It is virtually maintenance-free—no frequent oil changes or leakage when built correctly.

Solid Axle (Front Spool)

All-new ultra-light, narrow front spool (solid axle) to match new bulkheads. Uses 6×10×3 bearings and smaller eccentric holders. Pulley aligns with center layshaft for improved drive efficiency. Made from high-grade 7075 T6 Swiss aluminum. Very low rotating mass for improved performance.

Bearing Holders

Front and rear bulkheads include integrated belt-tension adjustment via adjustable eccentric bearing holders. The 2026 design accommodates 6×10×3mm spool & diff bearings, saving weight and lowering CG.

Chassis

New narrow chassis design fits new suspension geometry, supports short & long arms, and new shock mounting positions. The chassis has holes for easier bulkhead/ARS link access. Narrowing in front and rear centers eliminates rub and improves cornering speed. Additional material near motor area extends chassis life. There are holes for 3mm motor mount centering pins, and an extra forward mount suitable for black carpet. Carbon adjustable battery holders are close to centerline to allow weight removal in rub zones while maintaining balance.

Top Deck

All-new top decks optimized for flex, bulkheads, and clamps. Only one type of front deck is needed due to the front bulkhead brace design. Two-piece split top decks are included to improve steering and traction. Decks are reinforced around motor screw areas; front deck has a thinner groove for durability. Multi-Flex™ deck design and narrow shape allow multiple flex options via deck screws. Machined precision screws ensure correct installation. Made from 2.0 mm carbon; optional 1.6 mm decks available for low-to-medium-traction carpet.

Front Bulkhead Brace

New wave-style front bulkhead brace controls flex and removes need for multiple front top decks. It can mount on either bulkhead or top deck, offering 3 mounting options.

Upper Bumper Brace

Shorter, low-profile upper bumper brace that fits new bulkhead shape and protects chassis in crashes by distributing forces. Designed to match the 3D-printed rubber bumper.

Rear Body Mounting System

Extra thick yet lightweight 4 mm carbon rear body post holder with maximum durability and low CG. Offers 7 holes at 1.1 mm spacing for horizontal posts. Accommodates taller body posts for VTA bodies.

Standard Features

Some information may include previous kit details and may vary slightly from current specs.

XLP2 Shock Absorbers

All included XLP2 shock parts are designed for minimal size and lowest CG. Shock bodies are CNC-machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, with hardened surfaces. Low-profile aluminum upper/lower nuts include sealing O-ring and composite ball joint. Shafts, nuts, retainers, and pivot balls are tuned for minimum height. Included piston sets are 4-hole types (1.1 & 1.2 mm) molded in precision composite for stiffness and roundness.

XLP vs XLP2 (Shock Comparison)

XLP2 shocks are 4 mm shorter than prior XLP version, improving cornering speed, mid-corner steering, stability, and reducing traction rolls in high-traction settings.

Servo Mount

Aluminum one-piece low-CG servo holder with 3 mounting positions. Uses fewer parts, lowers CG, and allows different traction settings by configuring which screws are used. Centring pins ensure precise assembly.

3D Printed Bumper

Included low-profile 3D printed rubber bumper improves durability, airflow, and aesthetics over traditional foam bumpers.

Wheel Hubs

Wider hubs for better cornering stability. Compatible with SCS – Spring Clip System for simpler installation. Narrow hexes improve steering & traction. Graphite composite hubs use small bearings. Axle height is fully adjustable. Same hub design is used in all four corners with extensions as needed. Aluminum front steering & rear ARS plates mount depending on hub location.

Top Deck Shims & Flex Settings

Flex limiting top deck shims allow independent front/rear stiffness tuning. Steel shims sit under deck flex screws. Top deck flex settings provide 3 options. Front & rear shock holders support 3 flex mounting options. Motor mount includes 5 screw positions; up to 4 can be removed to modify chassis flex.

ECS / BB Drive Shafts

Unique ECS (Enhanced C-clip System) drive shaft case with C-clip groove secures pin retainer. Thanks to the new SCS – Spring Clip System, no set screws are used—assembly or disassembly takes just one click. Pins float freely for smoother rotation and improved cornering.

Rear Hub Height Adjustment

The kit includes 5.5 mm and 6.5 mm pivot balls for rear hub height tuning. Use the 6.5 mm version when more than 0.5 mm hub shim is used for better thread engagement and durability.

XLP Shock Springs

Included XLP (short) springs are 3 mm shorter to match shock length and ideal ride height. Offered in multiple rate options including new progressive options: C2.4-2.7, C2.6-2.9. Springs are hand-measured, selected, and paired for identical length and damping properties.

Caster / Caster Inserts

Included 2-dot caster inserts for the front; 3-dot inserts for rear. Aluminum inserts enable fast, accurate tuning. Rear inserts can be reversed for more adjustment flexibility.

Battery Backstops

Two integrated adjustable backstops allow precise battery offset. Supports both shorty and standard LiPo packs. Prevents battery movement during crashes or interference with spur gear.

Belt Tensioners

Two ball-bearing belt tensioners integrated into motor mount / battery backstop structure. Each is adjustable independently for front and rear belt tension control.

Middle Layshaft

All-new hollow aluminum layshaft minimizes rotating weight and vibration. It is machined from Swiss 7075 T6 and black coated. Composite belt pulleys key to the shaft. Assembly is installed on steel layshaft axle.

Motor Mount & Flex / Brass Weights

Motor mount includes 3 mm centering pins (up from 2 mm), improving crash durability. A forward mount is included for US black carpet. Cutouts allow speed controller wiring clearance and improved top deck flex. The mount supports 5 screw positions; up to 4 can be removed to vary flex. Optional nickel-coated brass weights can be added around driveline parts to adjust weight centrally.
