About the Event
The Darling Downs Off Road Radio Controlled Car Club (DDORRCR) is proud to host the 2025 QLD RCRA 1/10 State Titles. Established in 1995 and currently based at the Toowoomba Showgrounds for over 18 years, the club welcomes drivers of all skill levels.
This year, 1/10 Vintage 2WD, 4WD, and Stadium Truck classes will also be featured — offering a rare chance to relive the golden era of RC racing with kits that are 30+ years old. Whether you're restoring a classic, running a RERE or bringing out a shelf queen, this is the perfect time to hit the track and race the past.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for competitors and families to enjoy a winter break to start the QLD School Holidays. Toowoomba offers a range of family-friendly attractions, beautiful parks, cafes, and winter activities, making it a perfect holiday destination in 2025.
Schedule
Can't do the entire weekend? The class schedule allows for a day trip!
- Friday 27th June: Sign-in, open practice, pre-scrutineering (9am–5pm)
- Saturday 28th June: 2WD buggy & 2WD short course truck, Stadium Truck Vintage + trophies
- Sunday 29th June: 4WD buggy & 2WD stadium truck, 2wd/4wd Vintage + trophies & raffle
Control Tyre
Jetko Desirer Super Soft - available at Speedy RC (trackside shop will be available).

2WD is not a controlled tyre, however, we suggest the 2WD Desirer and, or, J-13 for your consideration.

Venue & Facilities
Track Surface
The racing surface is approximately 60 x 40 meters with a lap length of 260 meters. Our natural clay/dirt surface develops a smooth groove over time, making for exciting and challenging racing throughout the event.
Canteen
The canteen operates daily from gate opening time, offering a full menu throughout the day including breakfast options. Complimentary hot drinks are provided for all competitors.
Cleaning Station
A designated wash bay area will be available with a compressor, running water, and Simple Green for cleaning vehicles during the event.
Driver Prep Area
Competitors are asked to bring their own gazebo. A limited number of club gazebos are available by request for interstate or flying participants—please contact the club to arrange this. A number of tables will also be available for use during the event if required.
Camping
Camping (caravan/camper) is available at the showgrounds from $30/night (book directly with showgrounds at 07 4634 7400). Tents and swags are not permitted under lease rules.
Camplify offers caravan hire with delivery and pickup.
